The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one hwhen you discover that someone else believes in you and is willing to trust you with a friendship – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Friendship is something I’ve learned to not take for granted. I remember a time when I would often miss birthday dinners and celebrations because I was busy studying or at work. The older I got, the more I began to value great friends. I made a promise to myself to make time for friends even if that meant staying up late to finish up an assignment and losing sleep. As pictured, some friends and I visited a food truck rally tasting foods from different cultures. I’m a foodie so you can imagine how exciting this must’ve been for me.
About my look: I stuck to something comfortable but not plain. The floral canvas sneakers added a little spunk to my striped chambray dress.
